Today I have another Finnish cosmetics box for you. This was sent to me and I was very excited to check it out. As usual the products inside are international so I’ll give you my opinion of them on this English side of my blog too. This is a one-shot box that is available in Finland only.

Signe Seebid Cucumber-Tea Tree Face Mask
I hope everyone is having a great weekend! Today I have a Cucumber and Tea Tree clay face mask from Signe Seebid, hand made natural cosmetics brand from Estonia. I’m already using two products from their brand and those are excellent. So when I placed my order for more of their amazing orange sugar scrub I added two new-to-me products to my order. Here’s the first one of them. I think Signe Seebid products are only available in Estonia and Finland at the moment. I still want to show this to you in case there’s a chance these lovely products will be available internationally later on.

Summer vacation, rosacea and nail breakdown
Hello, hello ! Long time, no see. Though I’ve been around in my social media pages, it’s been a long time since I wrote a blog post. I just ended up having a long, unplanned summer vacation from the blogging world. I’ve been battling with my skin issues getting worse. My face is still very red and has a rash on it as well as my chest area has red rash on it. I went to a dermatologist and the problems have now been diagnosed as rosacea. I’m taking medication for it and applying a cream twice a day so I’m hoping to see things getting a bit better.
Red face I can kinda live with since I can cover that with makeup pretty easy as long as the skin is smooth. The chest area bothers me more. Photo below was taken before I went to see the doctor. I’ve been on the meds for a week now and I don’t see much of a difference yet but it can take a few weeks before things start getting better. So fingers crossed that I can finally get over these skin problems.
To make things worse, my nails also decided to fall apart completely. I think I went through some kind of after pregnancy hormonal change. At first there was this horizontal line on all my nails where you could see the nail started to grow thinner. That became visible a few months after giving birth. When this line grew out for about three months it reached the sides of the free edge and I got these deep painful tears to many of my nails. I kept fighting it trying to glue the nails and just tried grow the tears out. It didn’t really work. More tears happened and many of my nails had to be filed short. After a while I simply gave up and put the UV-gel layover back on my nails. I used the gel to sculpt the length back on the nails that were shorter too. My nails are now bit longer than I can grow them to be without the layover but I’m not planning on going super long or stiletto style at this time.
So this is where we I am now. Gel layover is back on my nails and I will keep you updated about the rosacea situation and let you know if the treatment helps.
I have some nail posts ready to go and Glisten & Glow Cocktails Anyone? Part 1 and 2 reviews are coming up. I won’t go on any regular posting schedule right now. I’ll try and post at least three times a week though but I’ll keep it relaxed until I get back to the rhythm and we’ll go from there :)
Monthly favorites: June
This is my first “Monthly favorites” post. Eventually I’m going to do a video instead of a regular blog post but I haven’t got to that point yet so at least for June favorites this is just a blog post. These posts will have products that have already been seen on my blog as well as products I haven’t talked about here but I’ve been using regularly.
So here are some products I’ve been using and loving during June:
LUSH – Ocean Salt
Today I have a non nail related post for you. Sometimes I like to post about makeup, skin care products and other stuff too. Lately I just haven’t gotten around to do other things than just nail posts. Today I want to share an awesome LUSH product with you. I have previously talked about Ocean Salt facial scrub and using it for your hands. As good as it is for your hands it’s even better for your face and this one works wonders for me, leaving my skin silky smooth.
Ocean Salt has quite creamy and thick texture and clearest scent to me is lime. The scent has a tropical feel to it but it’s in no way sweet. It’s a fresh citrus scent.
I like to use this as a mask. I apply a thin layer of Ocean Salt on my face and step into a sauna for 10 mins. This feels a little too rough for my skin to be used like a normal scrub. Heat in the sauna smooths the product and the exfoliating effect is softer. It also seems to moisturize my skin when used as a mask in the sauna. After about ten mins I wash this off with a circular motion exfoliating the skin. At this point it’s smoother than straight from the jar but still gets the job done very well.
Ocean Salt leaves my skin feeling amazing. Silky smooth, almost weightless feeling. It’s hard to describe the effect after adding heat to the mix but it’s pretty much out of this world :D I’ve tried using this outside of sauna too. I apply it the same way and leave it on my face for ten mins during shower. Works great that way too but the humidity and heat seems to add the perfection to it.
I always use the extra Ocean Salt left on my fingers to quickly exfoliate my hands too. You can use this as a body scrub too but for me it’s a bit too pricey for that. So I just use this on my face and I absolutely love it!
