So I jumped on to the ColourPop bandwagon that is going strong especially on YouTube and ordered my first pretties. Now it’s safe to say that I’m hooked! I absolutely love the products that I ordered and I can’t wait to get more. I’ve just seen the new Ultra Matte Lip liquid lipsticks and O M G (!!) Matte is my favorite lipstick finish so I’m really, really excited about those. I want all of them now :D So I’ll be placing a new order as soon as those heavenly lip colors are released.

So what was in my first order?

I chose the Where The Light Is eyeshadows and Lumière Lippie Stix and Pencil created by Kathleen Lights. I also got I ♥ This Lippie Stix and Pencil. This was a small test order just to see how I like them.

Where The Light Is has four Super Shock eyeshadow shades: Glow (matte), Cornelious (matte), Kathleenlights (pearlized) and Blaze (metallic).

These eyeshadows are almost like cream formula. Very pigmented and velvety smooth. It has taken me a little bit of practicing when it comes to applying them but I knew what to expect before I ordered. These colors are absolutely gorgeous and you can use them to create very natural daytime makeup or shiny and glamorous nighttime look and they are perfect for summer. I love the mattes but it’s very rare I go all matte when it comes to eye makeup. I need my sparkle too and oh boy do these two babies have some shine and sparkle!

Swathes are on clean skin, no primer or base color.

From the left: Glow, Cornelious, Kathleenlights, Blaze

When I swatched Kathleenlights for the first time I literally almost peed myself :D The pigment on this eyeshadow is insane. It’s so beautiful! Touching these eyeshadows is makeup porn at it’s best. They are creamy but not sticky. I have no words to explain how these eyeshadows feel.

Blaze looks glittery and on the swatch photo it looks like it has a rough texture and it might have a lot of fallout, but no, it’s silky smooth! If you apply it with a brush it’ll look more metallic and there might be a little bit of glitter fallout. If you apply it with your finger like I did on this swatch then the result is really sparkly and there’s no fallout.

Staying power on these eyeshadows is also good. So I really love these and I already have my eyes set on more colors.

Then to the two Lippie Stix and Pencils I ordered. Both of them are matte finish and they have a matching lip pencil. Now can we talk about that for a second? I mean that is so cool! These products are so affordable being $5 a piece. So with $10 you get a matching lipstick and a pencil. How great is that? It’s awesome! I also really like that you can see the shade on the outside of the Lippie Stix and Pencils too. Makes it so easy to pair them up and find the what you’re looking for.

Both of these shades are very pigmented and apply so smoothly. The Pencils are really soft, almost creamy and also very pigmented.

I could wear Lumière Pencil alone for kind of “Your lips but better” look. With this shade I can easily line my upper lip to look much fuller than it actually is. Lumière Lippie Stix is a perfect match for the Pencil. Staying power is good and Lumière also wears off really nicely and doesn’t look bad at any point. For matte lipstick this isn’t drying at all. I’m so in love with these that I definitely need to order more matte Lippie Stix soon (and those liquid lipsticks, aaahh!!)

I haven’t really worn I ♥ This lipstick or pencil long enough yet so I can’t talk too much about them. I tried them on quickly and the color is to die for! Perfect for me!

I ordered these from ColourPop.com. They currently ship to USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Puerto Rico, Guam, US Virgin Islands, and APO’s. Since I live in Finland I had to use Shipito mail forwarding service. That worked great for me and it took two weeks for my order to arrive. I hope ColourPop will start shipping to Europe someday but for now I’m happy using Shipito to get these great products.
