So now that the nail growing project is fully started and I have my natural nails back I also have to get used to the short length. This is quite a change from the long pointy gel nails I had. I usually hate this part with short and thin nails and don’t want to even take nail photos. This time I have decided to enjoy these nubbins and do some nail art too.

Yesterday I wrote about the IBX treatment I got done on Monday. I feel like it’s still making my nails stronger. I don’t know if it’s even possible. There’s just absolutely no sensitivity left and my nails feel less bendy and less thin every day. By far this has been the most pleasant start to a nail growing project ever.

Now let’s move to the manicure of the day. There’s a slight difference in length on my middle and ring finger nails. So I decided to do a little nail art to make the difference less obvious. I can’t file the ring finger nail any shorter due to an old accident so I have to play around with some nail art. This time I decided to do super easy dots and stripes.

I started with Trind Natural Nail Repair treatment and Glisten & Glow Stuck On Blu! as my base coats. Then I painted two coats of China Glaze Plur-ple and let everything dry while I cleaned my cuticles. I used a small dotting tool and OPI Alpine Snow for the dots and the stripes were done with Mosaic M, long bristle nail art brush. I let the nail art dry for a little bit too and then added a coat of Glisten & Glow HK Girl top coat.

Dots and stripes looked good together and it took just an extra minute to do. The lines are a little wonky but this is free hand so they are allowed to look like free hand too ;) I liked these nails!
