I broke a nail from my swatch hand :( I swear it’s been months since I broke a nail from my left hand. I’ve broken a couple of nails from my right hand but my swatch hand has been perfect for so long. My hand slipped from the car door handle and I broke my index finger nail. The damage could’ve been far worse though. At least I was able to leave some length on them. I prefer my nails a little longer than this but I can live with these for now.

So I decided to cheer myself up with a quick and simple manicure. I wanted to try my new gorgeous F.U.N. Lacquer Legend (Limited edition) with some of the Essie Spring colors and they all went together perfectly.

First I applied my usual base coats Essie Ridge Filling base coat and Glisten & Glow Stuck On Blu!. After that I painted  two coats of Esssie Garden Variety on my thumb, index and pinky nails. I also used two coats of Essie Blossom Dandy on my middle finger nail. For my ring finger I first painted a coat of F.U.N. Lacquer Legend and let it dry for a couple of mins. Then I sponged on the second coat for maximum glitter payoff. I used Glisten & Glow CTRL-ALT-DEL Latex Barrier to keep my cuticles clean from glitter while sponging the polish on. At last I applied a coat of HK Girl fast drying top coat.

Garden Variety was so hard to try to capture color accurately. It kept photographing way too blue. I had to adjust the colors a lot and it’s still not exactly color accurate. In real life it’s still brighter and greener.
